As a TeleSim research programmer my responsibilities are quite varied. As a relatively experienced C++ programmer I often serve as a C++ consultant to the other TeleSim research programmers. This gives me the opportunity to become acquainted with many of the TeleSim projects. Largely due to my experiences as a graduate student in computer graphics, I have also been charged with maintaining the TeleSim web-pages and building a graphical user interface (GUI) to the IP-TN simulator and IP-TNe emulator. It is my hope that a GUI will make both the simulator and the emulator much more accessible, and therefore useful, tools.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my fiance and her family. When I can find the time, I try to expand my (meager) wood-working skills with the hope that I will be able to apply them to the building of an astronomical telescope and other useful objects. I am a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and make a point to go observing at least a couple of times a month. Lastly, due to the influence of Mike, I have recently taken up the very interesting hobby of beer brewing.
